Recording Jumps every few seconds or so

    Hi
    I am a newbie to Camstudio and hope to be able to record HD videos of my inflight Flight Sims. I downloaded Camstudio ok (problems with the losslesscodec but I see another thread about the .exe file).
    I managed to do some recording but the recording jumps/fragments every few seconds. I have watched all of the vids on Youtube about settings etc.
    I am running Windows 7 on an Intel dual core processor so have bags of processing power.
    Any idea what the problem could be - I have seen some great "inflight" vids and want to do the same

    Please use Jawor's Xvid and definitely not the Camstudio Lossless codec for your purposes. CLC was intended for slide shows.

    http://jawormat.republika.pl/xvid.html -- be certain to get the 32-bit version OR the 32-bit/64-bit combo pack.

    If you think you need lossless (which you won't after seeing how good a quality setting of 1 looks in Xvid), try Lagarith Lossless, but you will be limited to 9.5 minutes with that.
